چکیده
A pot experiment was conducted during 2019 under rain protected condition at Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat to know the effect of two different levels soil iron (Fe) content on Fe rice tissues including grain (brown rice). Soils initial DTPA extractable 159.40±0.51 mg/kg applied with 50 ppm Ferrous sulfate solution increase 182.35±0.57 mg/kg. Two popular varieties, Ranjit and Mahsuri, one traditional variety Kajoli Chakua were cultivated as winter submerged in pots. There no toxicity symptom leaves for plants grown content. At harvesting stage, concentration detected order: leaves>husk>grain. The brown significantly higher (>100% than that control) soils Significant variation observed according its position rachis, being highest top lowest bottom. Considering status, application fertilizer suitable found be successful biofortification rice, leading depending varieties.

Iron Biofortification of Myanmar Rice
Iron (Fe) deficiency elevates human mortality rates, especially in developing countries. In Myanmar, the prevalence of Fe-deficient anemia in children and pregnant women are 75 and 71%, respectively. Myanmar people have one of the highest per capita rice consumption rates globally. Consequently, production of Fe-biofortified rice would likely contribute to solving the Fe-deficiency problem in t...

The effect of seeding depth on emergence of red rice (Oryza sativa) ecotypes from Arkansas (AR), Louisiana (LA), and Mississippi (MS) was determined under dry-seeded rice production in clay and silt loam soils in Arkansas. By 21 d after planting (DAP), all red rice ecotypes had emerged from planting depths of 1.3, 2.5, 5.0, and 7.5 cm in both clay and silt loam soils. In silt loam soil, seedlin...
